North Adelaide Primary School Safety

Recently, I met with school leadership to discuss the important issue of road safety around North Adelaide Primary, and how I can advocate on the school community’s behalf for improvements.

As you would know at the back of the school on Gover Street there is no actuated pedestrian crossing, or a flashing lights crossing.

As a result, concerns have been raised around speeding drivers and near-misses with students, parents and staff.

While at the front of the school, on Tynte Street, there is no 25km school zone, with cars able to travel 50km/hr during school drop off and pick up times when many students, parents and caregivers are present.

As the City of Adelaide’s Draft Budget includes funding to improve school safety, I’m advocating on behalf of the school community to see these funds go towards safety improvements at North Adelaide Primary.

I’d love your support to make the local streets around the school safer!

Kindest regards,
