Join the Fight to Save The River Murray

After 10 years of mismanagement and inaction by Federal Coalition governments, South Australia still doesn’t have the 450 gigalitres of environmental water it was promised to sign up to the Murray Darling Basin Plan.

This water, the bare minimum scientists say is need for the health of the River Murray in drier years, is vital to the economic and environmental sustainability of our State.

Upstream states have consistently failed to meet saving targets set out in the Plan, and were allowed to do so under Barnaby Joyce and the Coalition, leaving South Australia vulnerable to future droughts.

The Productivity Commission is currently calling for submissions on its impending Murray-Darling Basin Plan implementation review which shows the Plan is well short of achieving its water recovery targets.

This is putting our unique, internationally recognised environments at risk.

Sign the petition calling on the Victorian and NSW governments to assist with the recovery of the full 450GL of environmental water for the River Murray!
