David Speirs’ liberals tried to cut pay for SA workers
The liberals moved an amendment to the Public Holidays Bill 2023 in the Legislative Council which would have cut the Easter Saturday public holiday - slashing penalty rates for thousands of workers.
Labor and cross bench MPs defeated the Liberals cruel attempts to cut pay for workers in fast food, retail and the emergency services who are forced to work Easter Saturday.
